Responsible for initial and recurrent education of flight nurses, clinical practice development, design and implementation of orientation for new staff. Curriculum design and development for recurrent education and use of simulation to cultivate critical thinking skills. Development of a training program for preceptors. Responsible for maintenance of Survival Flight’s clinical standards. Secured grant funding for Survival Flight’s Mobile Training Unit (MTU) and family of 7 human patient simulators. Developed a flight nurse internship program for experienced critical care nurses wishing to bridge into the transport environment (the first of its kind in the country).
